- Customer relationships and work closely with key accounts to sustain and grow business opportunities. Maintain P&L responsibility for the warehouse operations and ensure financial performance aligns with business targets.
- Oversee and lead warehouse operations across GPIS Singapore warehouse and project sites, ensuring effective execution of inbound, outbound, and storage activities.
- Develop operational strategies to optimize warehouse performance, enforce compliance, and meet or exceed customer expectations and contractual KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement operational best practices, and explore new technologies to streamline operations and improve productivity.
- Uphold health, safety, and security standards in warehouse activities and ensure compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
- Oversee resource allocation and cost efficiency across manpower, equipment, and storage utilization. Develop and cultivate a high-performing team culture with focus on accountability, communication, and development.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and oversee periodic stock takes and reconciliations.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of warehouse and office premises.
Specific Accountabilities:
• Lead recruitment, performance appraisal, and, if necessary, disciplinary actions of warehouse staff.
• Approve leave applications, transport and medical claims, and petty cash usage.
• Approve purchase requisitions for warehouse operational items and consumables.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to warehouse performance and service levels.
• Ensure timely reporting and resolution of operational issues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, VBA).
• Experience in creating and using operational dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong presentation skills, with experience engaging senior management.
• Creative and structured problem-solver with the ability to think critically and act proactively.
• Open communicator with willingness to share best practices and feedback.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical capabilities in both operational and financial performance.
• Knowledge of warehouse automation tools and systems.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a passion for mentoring and coaching.
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, including staff supervision.
• Additional certifications in warehouse operations or operational excellence is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proactive, team-oriented, and results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
