Are you ready to lead a high-performing team in a dynamic airfreight logistics environment? We're looking for an Operations Manager to join our warehouse operations in Ballycoolin. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive operational performance, develop people, and deliver exceptional customer service—while ensuring compliance, quality, and continuous improvement.

 

Location: Ballycoolin, Dublin 15
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 16:30

 

What will you be doing?

 

As Operations Manager, you'll lead and manage all aspects of the warehouse operations for our airfreight division. Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Driving operational excellence and profitability through effective leadership and people management.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives such as resource planning and WMS implementation.
  • Ensuring high standards of health & safety, quality, compliance, and security.
  • Managing new business implementations and ensuring seamless onboarding with robust SOPs and communication channels.
  • Optimising warehouse layout and space utilisation while identifying opportunities for additional revenue.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal departments and external providers to ensure consistent, top-tier service delivery.
  • Supporting strategic planning, budget processes, and business growth initiatives.
  • Handling customer escalations professionally and promptly, and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.

About you

 

To succeed in this role, you will need to be:

 

  • A proven people leader with experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
  • Solutions-focused, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong grasp of safety, compliance, and process excellence.
  • Confident in managing multiple stakeholders, internal and external, while maintaining a customer-first approach.
  • Experienced in delivering continuous improvement and driving cost efficiency.
  • Strong leadership and team-building experience.
  • Track record of managing operational KPIs and delivering results.
  • Familiarity with warehouse systems and operational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
