Job Description:

-Partner with the business Director/SLT & business unit to deliver people outcomes across the Employee Lifecyle and support in constructive employee relations

-Advise the business on it’s people strategy, including but not limited to:

- Identify & prioritise talent opportunities or anticipated challenges, offer action plans to address gaps (e.g Recruitment, Success Planning, upskilling etc)

- Support & consult the business in managing transformations, including organisation design aligned to the target operating model and minimizing negative impacts (such as IR claims)

-Build & manage stakeholder relationships, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

-Ensure People matters are handled promptly, fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements

-Manage grievances, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings promptly and with thorough processes in accordance with Legislation and Schenker policies/processes.

-Undertake Industrial negotiations and processes such as disciplinary proceedings, EBA negotiations and management of all industrial activities for the client group

-Act as first point of contact for P&O queries for Managers of the business unit

-Apply knowledge of P&O to drive and lead strategic initiatives or projects, ensuring successful execution and outcome.

-Work closely with P&O colleagues across the business to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice

-Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring that they are aware of their rights and entitlements

-Work in partnership with Talent Acquisition Team to source capable talent to business unit both internally and externally

-Help to drive organisational performance by driving core business objectives and key global projects

-Utilise management information on budget and overall performance to assist the senior leadership team of the business make decisions and assist with the overall running of the business

-Consult, advise & coach line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing and staff management/development

-Ensure any P&O Administrative activities are completed with accuracy and in a timely manner

-Support Employee Development & Training by recommending programs, facilitating programs where required and being an advocate of a learning culture

-Other duties as reasonably directed


Must Haves:

-Proven experience managing Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) matters across multiple sites regionally

-Strong understanding of regional employment laws and compliance requirements.

-Ability to provide guidance and resolution on complex ER/IR issues in a multi-site environment.

-Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

-No direct public transport access to the site; reliable private transport is essential.

-Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as required.

-Strong time management and adaptability to changing schedules and operational demands.

-Demonstrated capability to build relationships with stakeholders across different locations.

-Experience in implementing consistent ER/IR practices regionally.

-Tertiary studies in a related discipline (i.e. Business degree, HR, Psychology etc)

-Highly developed ability to build and maintain relationships across a wide range of stakeholders

-Ability to work independently/autonomously and take responsibility, managing the balance between local and corporate business requirements
